Phew! After four weekends of hard work and five months of preparation, our Lapland Express 2025 season is finally over. Four weekends saw 39 Santa trains operate, carrying thousands of passengers who met Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves. This involved a support crew of dozens of our hard-working volunteers. Passengers came from across the island of Ireland to enjoy our Santa trains, from local Downpatrick families to as groups from as far afield as Cork and Waterford.
It was truly wonderful to see so many happy faces as we brought enjoyment to so many over the past month, but now it’s time for our volunteers to put their feet up for a well-deserved break and enjoy their own Christmas. Every one of them has been a good boy or girl and should be well rewarded by Santa on the 25th.
