The official snaps are in – and perhaps the entourage is only just recovering – but a huge congratulations to the DCDR and the Irish Traction Group posse at the Heritage Railway Association Awards last weekend at Llandudno.
No need to go waiting for a star to fall this year… Christopher McCausland picked it up himself, winning Rising Star of the Year.
And Shea McKee was Highly Commended in the Lord Faulkner Young Volunteer of the Year category.
We didn’t win Achievement of the Year for Moyexit – our slightly briar-heavy locomotive rescue from Moyasta – but seeing as we won it last year we can’t be too dispondent…
Still hope the briars were worth it.
