We had a wonderful time at the South Dublin Model Railway Club’s 50th Anniversary exhibition in Blackrock College, Dublin, over the past three days – it was a great opportunity to meet many of our supporters from the Dublin area. Thank you to everyone who supported our stall and for all the chats.
There was a marvellous display of layouts on display, including a breathtaking model of Donaghdee in the days of the Belfast & County Down Railway, and a delightful layout called Beagnach End, home to a little G class loco much like our own (albeit much cleaner).
We certainly had a lot of interest in our restoration of No. 90, the oldest surviving Dublin-built locomotive, not to mention our upcoming Lapland Express Santa trains.
Special thanks to our hosts, the South Dublin Model Railway Club, and congratluations on your 50th Anniversary. We’re looking forward to the next one already.
