Since winning a Social Enterprise of the Year last November, we’ve been thinking hard about how we can put that recognition into action, and one small way is using our spending power to support other social enterprises. So when it came to selecting new gifts to our souvenir shop, we decided to do just that. We turned to the amazing team at AEL- Access Employment Ltd Larne in Larne – a fellow social enterprise doing brilliant work through their Create Gifts project.
The result? Gorgeous mugs and tote bags made with purpose by trainees gaining real-world skills and experience. We get beautiful merch – including a fab cartoon of 80 class power car 69 as the ‘Peace Train’ – and we know our order helped support confidence, learning, and jobs in the community.
